COVID-19 OPERATIONS of our Chapter

Due to the Covid pandemic, all chapter dues have been extended until further notice.

We are in the position that we cannot attend our quarterly luncheons, so we have been using ZOOM Meetings for the last several months.

It has been brought to the Baords attention that this may be the way of operations for the forseeable future.

A monthly ZOOM meeting could be used to keep members in contact with each other as we work our way through this pandemic.

New Dues Payment Method Operational

We have incorporated into the website a way to submit your dues payment online.

If you perfer to renew your dues online you can use the "Online Dues" pulldown menu tab and renew using your PayPal account or you can use a one time PayPal setup using either a Credit or Debit card.

Go to the Online Dues pulldown and at the bottom of the page click on the tab labeled "Add to Cart".  The next page will have a listing with a box under QUANITY. The "1" in the box means 1 year of dues to be paid.  You can change this figure to how many years of dues you want to pay and click "UPDATE".  That will take you to the PapPal website for processing your payment.

Several members have asked if there was an online dues renewal option and we now have this available.  You can still mail in your check that has been our normal way of doing business.

Nutmeg Chapter Hosts QCWA National at ARRL Convention

Chapter members K1PU, K1CMM, K1IKE and K1MQ assisted National VP Larry McClavy WA9JMO and Directors at the ARRL's 100th Year Convention in Hartford.  Those that attended the event indicated that they had many good times meeting old and new friends.

We wish the ARRL another 100 Years of successful operations towards the advancement of our amateur radio hobby.

An item will be discussed at the February 2014 luncheon where we will present the possibility of having luncheons at just one central location.  The board has indicated they would like all luncheons at Tommy's Restaurant due to its easy access by highways.  This change would be continued until a vote to change locations is taken!

Additional updates............... February 8, 2014

A motion was presented to extend the term of elected officers to a term of two (2) years.  The motion was made by K1AFI and Second by KA1SE.  A discussion was requested, vote taken and then the motion passed.
